Pastor Riley's Birthday Celebration
FDCC celebrates Pastor Sharon S Riley!
FDCC celebrated the birthday of Pastor Sharon S. Riley December 16-18, 2011. The celebration began with spirit-filled performances on Friday night by the various worship ministries of FDCC. God's anointing fell and rested in this house!
Saturday, Pastor Riley was transported to the wonderful Land of Oz where she received heartfelt tributes, enjoyed food, fun, and fellowship and eased on down the road with the ministries of Dorcas.
At both 8:00 and 11:00 services on Sunday, the young people of FDCC showcased their God-given gifts by delivering the preached word with power and conviction, boldness and grace; solidifying Pastor's belief that the next 25 years of FDCC are in good hands.
The weekend culminated in "Dining with the Shepherd" at Grand Affairs. There were more heartfelt tributes to the woman of God; more food, fun, and fellowship; a birthday serenade, prayers and well wishes.
As always, Pastor Riley humbly and graciously thanked everyone from the bottom of her heart, then (true to form), led the congregation in worship. That's exactly why we love her!
We thank God for the gift of Pastor Sharon S. Riley. May He continue to keep her in the palm of His hand and may He bless her with many more birthdays to come.
